Time to measure my success

After the disaster that was today, I went looking for something that might cheer me up. So this rainy afternoon, I’m going to see how far I have come.

My first weigh-in was recorded in “Fat Matt’s initial big fat weigh-in” (September 2021). My most “recent” which I retroactively added just now was in “Progress Report (filed late)” (April 2024).

Stat20212024Change
Weight (stone)24st 8.6lb21st 1.2lb-3st 7.4lb
Weight (KG)156.3kg133.9kg-22.4kg
BFR (Body Fat Ratio)42.5%37.4%-5.1%
Subcutaneous Fat38.1%33.5%-4.6%

I’m impressed with myself. Taking a long-term view, I can now see that the trend is strongly downward. Taking this as an overall indicator, I will hit my desired weight in three years. That’s not a good way to do statistics but close enough for an average expectation.

As I am NOT dieting but making lifestyle changes, I should stay at or below where I want to be with little to no additional effort.

The two (probably estimated) fat measures from my weighing app suggest an overall loss of excess fatty tissues.

This is good both for life expectancy and for minimising pain. The less I have to carry in extra fat, the easier moving about should become.

TL;DR: This is a big win.
