Yesterday, we said goodbye to my dad. The service was lovely, and I felt I knew Dad better than I had before. I learned that he was an inspiration to more people than I had realised.
Unsupprisingly, my focus was not on myself. So guess who has two thumbs and didn’t go to the pharmacy for medication. This guy.
On the plus side, I got to spend time with family members and close friends who mean a lot to me. Especially my lovely child.
Given that I missed out on medication to control my blood sugar levels (and the amazing flapjacks I stuffed in my face after the memorial), I think my blood sugar is doing rather well.
Something I ate did not like me. It might have been a food that my body didn’t want or the odd timing for eating that caused this (I skipped breakfast and lunch yesterday). I’ve felt rough all day. My tum has been saying “do not want” quite loudly. Which explains why I’ve not eaten today and possibly why my blood sugar levels are not so bad.
Whatever the cause, it was probably my fault.
The most productive I’ve been was a particularly good daily climb run on Slay the Spire.
I’m starting to feel better, but I doubt I will eat much today. Overall, it could be worse, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.
